Ariane Brabant, Business Development Manager for TAG was part of a presentation and discussion at Closet Expo 24. Here are some highlight topics and information from that presentation.

PRESENTERS

This presentation was hosted my Michaelle Bradford from Closets Magazine and presented by Knikki Grantham of Belwith Keeler and Ariane Brabant of TAG.

TRENDING FINISHES

When it comes to finishes, what is trending?
TAG identified black and gold as the most popular finishes and Belwith Keeler found popularity with two gold shades and Gunmetal.

FINISH CONSISTENCY

TAG Hardware’s Coordinated Hardware System ensures all products work together and simplifies the sales process for the design consultant.

COLOR OF THE YEAR

‘Peach Fuzz’ and ‘Champagne Bronze’ were the tones that set the tone in 2023.  Color trends influence the way companies create their color palette and decide what gets rolled out to the market.

LEATHER

TAG has identified leather as a strong and durable element in designs. It breaks up that cold feel from the hardware and adds a soft luxury..

BIG PULLS

Longer, more prominent drawer and door pulls are becoming more dominant in designs.  Larger pulls create a stronger feel and powerful look.

LEAD THE CUSTOMER

Sometimes letting a customer choose too many details can overwhelm them and have dire consequence. Trust your instincts on scale, color and function when choosing hardware.

FLEXIBILE ORGANIZATION

The focus in on the ability to customize organization to the client’s needs.  The wardrobe is an ever evolving unit and as professionals, we need to sell the idea of flexibility. Contour is an example of adjustability.

TECHNOLOGY

The more complex and intricate the products get, the more we need supporting design tools. TAG is ahead of its time by ensuring our new products are embedded in CAD software.

TRAINING

Panels, seminars, and industry events help designers become the authority in the room.  This continuous improvement helps designers convey products USP’s with confidence and helps move the industry forward.

COLOR CUES

Every home has metal elements; light fixtures, architectural hardware, decorative hardware – read the room to identify your client’s preference. You can then introduce colors that best coordinate with the materials already being used in their home.

HERE TO HELP

Engage with your customers, listen listen listen. It’s their project after all. There is no room for EGO in design.  Tell them: “The more information you share, the better I’ll be able to assist you”.
